This trip will visit newly developed mines in the Altiplano region of Mexico within a day’s drive of Zacatecas. Included are tours of the giant Penasquito Mine of Goldcorp Inc. (with reserves of 17 Moz Au + 1045 Moz Ag), the new 4.0 Moz Au discovery at Cerro Rojo (Canplats Resources Corp.), the open pit operations at Co. San Pedro (New Gold Inc.), the polymetallic Cozamin Mine (Capstone Mining Corp.), and Mexico’s largest zinc producer at Francisco y Madera (Penoles). Trip meets in Zacatecas the evening of Oct. 5th, and ends in San Luis Potosi the evening of Oct. 8th. Registration includes 4 nights lodging Oct. 5th-8th (double occupancy).
